Viera Builders, Inc. has an opening for a full time hourly paid Sr. Architectural Drafter, who will be primarily responsible  for drafting construction documents for production master plans in accordance with local and state code for permit and construction use, maintaining and updating master plans, and lot specific plans for permit submittal as well as assisting in Master Truss Review and assist in Lot fit and predetermined placement on civil plans.   In addition, the Sr. Architectural Drafter’s duties include the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop production construction documents for new master models
  • Maintain and update of current master models
  • Develop community Predetermined Lot Fits on community plat  
  • Review Master and Lot Specific Truss Engineering for accuracy and consistency
  • Produce Lot Specific plans for submittal to permitting
  • Assist in marketing brochures for sales and design
  • Ensure designated community or series bid sets are up to date and accurate according to information available at that time

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in the area of design, construction, and drafting in architecture or structural engineering preferred. 5+ years of experience required in design, construction and drafting standards in architecture or structural engineering. Must be an expert in using AutoCAD version 2021 or newer.  AutoCad certification preferred. ​​​​​​​Knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite programs and other office equipment
