Architectural Drafter - New Residential Construction

THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION

Viera Builders, Inc. has an opening for a full time hourly paid Architectural Drafter, who will be primarily responsible for using Autodesk products (AutoCAD) for residential production of individual projects. This role will develop complete construction documents and Lot Fits. In addition, the Architectural Drafter’s duties include the following:

Responsibilities:

Create lot specific production construction documents.
Create Lot Fits for specific purchased homes.
Development of architectural details.
Development of Structural Detail.
Review truss engineering against plan for accuracy and errors.
Coordinate reviews with Structural Engineer and make plan changes per direction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Construction, Drafting, or at least 3 years of residential drafting experience preferred. . 3+ years in drafting using AutoCAD 2021 or newer. Some basic structural engineering preferred. Residential construction or similar experience a plus! Knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite programs. Comfortable working within the parameters of hard deadlines while still producing error free work.
