A. Duda & Sons, Inc. has an opening for a salaried paid Corporate Development Associate at the corporate office in metropolitan Orlando (Oviedo), FL. The Corporate Development Associate supports the Company’s growth and asset optimization strategies through financial analysis, transaction support, and strategic evaluation of corporate development opportunities across the Company’s food and agriculture and its real estate divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction & Financial Analysis
Perform detailed financial modeling and underwriting for acquisitions, dispositions, redevelopments, and other strategic investments
Analyze deal economics, including cash flow projections, IRR, NPV, sensitivity analyses, and return metrics
Assist in preparing investment memoranda, financial summaries, and presentations for executive leadership and internal stakeholders
Deal Lifecycle Support
Opportunity Identification:
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective and ongoing opportunities including tracking and monitoring ongoing contacts / call reports in a database tool
Analyze potential acquisition, disposition, or investment opportunities
Conduct preliminary financial modeling, market research, and feasibility analysis
Participate / support corporate development team across various trade shows and industry prospecting / networking events
Underwriting & Evaluation:
Build detailed underwriting models and scenario analyses
Prepare formal company presentations for corporate development and investment-oriented internal approval meetings
Evaluate deal structures, risk factors, and strategic alignment with portfolio objectives
Due Diligence:
Assist with financial and operational due diligence, including review of financial statements, lease abstracts, operating expenses, and supporting documentation
Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors during the diligence process
Manage virtual data room review and tracking of diligence questions and responses
Transaction Execution:
Support transaction closing activities, including financial schedules, model updates, and documentation tracking
Monitor key milestones and deadlines
Post-Closing & Portfolio Analysis:
Support post-closing financial analysis and reporting
Assist with portfolio optimization, hold/sell analysis, integration activities and ongoing performance tracking
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Tax, and Legal teams on transaction structure, closing requirements, and post-closing integration
Work with external advisors, including brokers, attorneys, investment bankers, accounting and financial due diligence service providers, and other transaction partners
Support internal reporting related to deal pipeline, capital deployment, and transaction performance
Support company annual strategic budgeting and planning process
Administration & Reporting
Maintain transaction models, assumptions, and supporting documentation
Track active deals, timelines, and deliverables
Prepare periodic reports and analyses for leadership and asset management teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required
1–2 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, financial due diligence, or a related analytical role
Experience in conducting due diligence on potential M&A transactions
Project management experience with strong attention to detail
Experience working cross-functionally with accounting, tax, legal, and external advisors
Skills & Competencies:
Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills
Full understanding and knowledge of valuation techniques
Knowledge of GAAP and experience in financial statement analysis
Familiarity with basics of capital structure and credit analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
Ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and messages
Strong presentation and PowerPoint skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously
Schedule:
Hybrid work schedule (8 days in office per month)
Ability to travel occasionally for property tours, meetings, or due diligence activities
