Tradewinds Restaurant at Duran Golf Club is seeking a Lead Server to help oversee and support front-of-house operations. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Front of House & Events Manager to ensure smooth daily service and successful event execution. Responsibilities:
- Lead front-of-house staff and assist with opening, mid, and closing procedures
- Support the Front of House & Events Manager with inventory, supply orders, staff scheduling, and administrative tasks such as floorplans, emails, function sheets, and phone calls
- Serve as the primary point of contact for front-of-house staff during shifts, resolving guest concerns and service issues in real time
- Train team members on service standards, upselling techniques and guest engagement; assist with onboarding and training of new hires
- Assist with the setup and execution of golf tournaments and evening/weekend events, coordinating closely with the Front of House & Events Manager and back-of-house team
- Oversee and actively participate in daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks while ensuring all team members adhere to health code, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Demonstrate flexibility by stepping into various roles as needed—including bartender, server, host, or food runner—during regular service and events
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in food and beverage or hospitality management, including hands-on experience with banquets, serving, bartending, and team leadership
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations and implement effective solutions
