Tradewinds Restaurant at Duran Golf Club is seeking a Lead Server to help oversee and support front-of-house operations. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Front of House & Events Manager to ensure smooth daily service and successful event execution. A commitment to exceptional guest service, strong team leadership, and a proactive approach to operations are key to success in this position.
Responsibilities:
Lead front-of-house staff and assist with opening, mid, and closing procedures
Support the Front of House & Events Manager with inventory, supply orders, staff scheduling, and administrative tasks such as floorplans, emails, function sheets, and phone calls
Serve as the primary point of contact for front-of-house staff during shifts, resolving guest concerns and service issues in real time
Train team members on service standards, upselling techniques and guest engagement; assist with onboarding and training of new hires
Assist with the setup and execution of golf tournaments and evening/weekend events, coordinating closely with the Front of House & Events Manager and back-of-house team
Oversee and actively participate in daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks while ensuring all team members adhere to health code, sanitation, and hygiene standards
Demonstrate flexibility by stepping into various roles as needed—including bartender, server, host, or food runner—during regular service and events
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in food and beverage or hospitality management, including hands-on experience with banquets, serving, bartending, and team leadership
Availability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations and implement effective solutions
