The CFO/VP of Finance - Real Estate is the senior financial leader and strategic partner to the COO & President, The Viera Company - Real Estate Group guiding financial strategy across development finance, homebuilding finance, FP&A, capital allocation, and governance for Duda’s master‑planned communities and real estate operations. This role ensures financial systems and processes scale effectively during a period of significant growth while maintaining margin discipline and capital efficiency. It also serves as the key link to Corporate Finance, driving alignment, transparency, and consistent enterprise‑wide financial standards.

- Serve as the Division CFO and primary financial partner to the COO & President, The Viera Company - Real Estate Group and leadership team.
- Drive financial strategy and oversight by translating development, absorption, pricing, and cost dynamics into disciplined financial insight that supports growth and capital decision‑making.
- Lead divisional planning and forecasting by implementing corporate FP&A tools and ensuring full alignment with enterprise planning processes and timelines.
- Develop robust financial and phasing models that guide cash‑flow planning, community pacing, and scenario analysis for key operational teams.
- Lead disciplined capital allocation by underwriting land acquisitions and development phases, aligning investment evaluations with enterprise return thresholds, risk parameters, and Corporate Finance priorities.
- Oversee the strategic and compliant deployment of Viera Stewardship District bond proceeds, ensuring adherence to covenants, statutory requirements, and long‑term capital improvement objectives.
- Evaluate and redesign financial systems and reporting processes by identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and scalability constraints to improve visibility and support future growth.
- Lead the implementation of modern financial and operational tools—such as ERP, planning systems, and profitability reporting—to strengthen forecasting, cash‑flow management, and enterprise data transparency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA license strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience within a homebuilding, land development, or related real estate platform.
- Strong technical accounting and financial leadership experience.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Robust understanding of land acquisition, entitlement risk, development phasing, and homebuilding economics, paired with strong business judgment and real estate operating fluency.
