The Project Manager – Land Development at The Viera Company is responsible for leading land development projects from early planning through construction and close‑out, playing a key role in delivering well‑designed, high‑quality communities. This position provides full project ownership—managing schedules, budgets, permitting, compliance, and construction activities while ensuring projects meet quality standards and business objectives.

- Own end‑to‑end delivery of assigned land development projects, managing planning, permitting, budgets, schedules, construction, and cross‑functional teams to deliver on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Maintain project documentation and reporting, preparing contracts, notices, schedules, financials, and status updates to ensure organization, compliance, and clear stakeholder communication.
- Manage permitting, platting, and regulatory compliance, coordinating with agencies, consultants, and internal teams to secure approvals and oversee NPDES and stormwater requirements.
- Monitor on‑site execution and project close‑out through site visits, inspections, and field issue resolution in coordination with Construction, consultants, and senior leadership.
- Coordinate stakeholders, utilities, and project turnovers, resolving issues, managing dry utilities, and supporting community and agency handoffs.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve project risks and compliance issues, overseeing construction testing and partnering with leadership and project teams to maintain smooth execution.
- Support senior leadership by coordinating schedules, documentation, and development status reporting, and preparing clear illustrations, tables, and maps.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in land development, construction, or project management
- Valid driver’s license required
- Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), Procore (Owner or Project Manager), and/or Portfolio Financials strongly preferred
